Effect

Brief description

Fires Bronze Arrows while jumping backwards, dealing damage and inflicting Cripple.

Detailed description

Fire Bronze Arrows forward, scattering them into a shower that deals 254.62%Physical Attack + 383Physical Damage + Other Attribute Damage and inflicts Cripple on the target for 5 seconds. On repeated hits, the first hit deals only 30% damage, and all subsequent hits deal only 10%.
This damage can be blocked, but not deflected.
Cripple: Prevents jumping for 5 seconds.
◆ Extends the duration of Cripple by 2 seconds and increases the target's Dodge cost by 40%.
◆ Press again within a short time to cast a second round of Arrow Rain with 10 Vitality, dealing 50% damage and inflicting enhanced Cripple.
◆ Reduces the first wave of Arrow Rain's Vitality cost by 10.
◆ Upon hitting units with enhanced Cripple, the second round of Arrow Rain inflicts Disjointed: reduces Endurance by 60. Each enhanced Cripple can trigger this only once, and a target suffers Disjointed at most once every 12 seconds.
◆ Increases damage by 6% (reflected in skill damage coefficient).

Usage

Bursting Nine fires a shower of Bronze Arrows at your target and inflicts Cripple, which stops them jumping for 5 seconds. The first hit does full damage, but repeat hits from the same volley are cut to 30% and then 10%, so most of the value is in the opening hit and the Cripple. The arrows can be blocked but not deflected.

Its upgrades turn it into a strong control tool: Cripple lasts 2 seconds longer and makes the target's dodges cost 40% more, you can press again for a second volley (10 Vitality, 50% damage, enhanced Cripple), and that second volley inflicts Disjointed on an enhanced-Crippled target, draining 60 Endurance (once every 12 seconds per target). It is also handy against the Inkpincer Scorpion, where the mechanic prompt uses the arrow formation to answer its poison attack.

Use the second volley right after the first to land enhanced Cripple and Disjointed together. Upgrading Bursting Nine uses Foxtail Weed, so stock up if you plan to level it.
